Last week, I flew out of Dubai. The next day, I was at Download Festival 2025 in the UK. Three days of mud, sweat, noise, and standing shoulder to shoulder with 100,000 people under grey skies. One day off. Then I fly straight into Cannes for the Lions Festival of Creativity.

My watch says I’ve done an average of 10km and over 15,000 steps daily. I say my legs are still recovering.
This isn’t a flex. It’s survival. I’m 40 and I’m not in any healthy or athletic shape in any form. Physically, at least.
Mentally? Somewhere between 17 and 25. Still the same guy who ran across Glastonbury fields to catch Nine Inch Nails. Still the one who wants to crowd surf then sit front row for a keynote.
And you know what? That’s why I still feel sharp.
Because your body might complain, but your brain needs the motion. The movement. The mix of loud music, creative talks, and endless walking between venues. It resets you. Keeps the soul from calcifying.
At Download, it’s noise therapy. At Cannes, it’s mind fuel. And both demand stamina.
I know people half my age who crash by day two.
So what’s the trick?
- Don’t act your age. Move like you’re younger.
- Stay curious. That keeps you going.
- Surround yourself with energy, not people who drain it.
- Don’t complain. Dance harder instead.
I didn’t do 10,000 steps for a badge. I did it because I still want to be everywhere, hear everything, and feel something.
Because that’s what keeps you young. Not serums. Not slogans. Movement.
See you on the next flight. Probably still sore. Still going.
